What our patients say...
A prompt, efficient, professional and caring GP who took the time to listen and understand my concerns and was clear, succinct and compassionate in his responses. The whole experience from booking on-line through to consultation was uncomplicated and well-managed. I would certainly use this service again.
Very pleased with the service. Easy to use and had option to book an appointment for the same day or next day. I highly recommend the service, especially for people who want to save the hassle of not being able to book appointments at their own surgeries.
I’m very grateful to tapGP, I managed to get a very quick appointment, on Saturday, the same day, just waited 2 hours. The doctor was very polite and attentive and provided me with a very good consultation. Thank you guys for your professionalism and very affordable price.

Our services are currently only available to residents in England and Wales. If you require medical help abroad please contact us before making an appointment.
We advise that you consent to allowing us to share your tapGP medical records with your own GP. This is to ensure you receive better and safer care and will mean we can prescribe a broader range of medications.
Absolutely not, tapGP does not require you to de-register with your GP and will not affect you making future appointments with your own GP.
The cost of the appointment includes prescription-writing. However, the cost of the medication prescribed will vary depending on the pharmacy. The pharmacy may also charge a private dispensing fee. NHS exemptions for prescriptions do not apply.
After your appointment, a code will be sent to you by text message and email instantly. Take this code to your local pharmacy and advise the pharmacist that you have a prescription generated by Signature Rx.
The pharmacist can issue your prescription by visiting www.signaturerx.co.uk and entering the code along with your date of birth.
Yes, our GPs can issue a fit (sick) note if they think you need one. Please request a sick note during your consultation with the GP. Your fit note will be sent to your email address soon after your appointment. You can then forward your fit note to your employer. tapGP fit notes cannot be used for social security or statutory pay purposes.
tapGP currently does not have direct access to your NHS medical records. However, we understand the importance of medical history, and we recommend having your medical records including medications readily available during the appointment to ensure the most comprehensive care.
Our mental health package allows you to schedule unlimited appointments with your GP about your mental health throughout the validity period. However, to ensure fair access for everyone, we have a Fair Use Policy in place. This policy helps us manage appointment volumes and prioritise urgent cases.
Appointments must be scheduled via the tapGP app. All appointments are done by video or telephone.
