Your questions answered
At tapGP we provide quality healthcare from anywhere through video and telephone consultations. Our NHS trained, UK-based GPs and clinicians are here to help you receive the care that you deserve when you cannot see your own GP. We understand the frustration of not being able to see your GP when you’d like and often having to wait many weeks. Our patients at tapGP can book same-day (usually within a few hours) appointments that are affordable without compromising on quality of care. Our GPs and clinicians can prescribe and send your prescription to any pharmacy in the UK, as well as send referral letters and sick notes to your email.
We are proud of having a service that can be easily accessed by anyone in England and Wales. So, if you’re on a business trip, trekking a mountain, on a beach holiday or sitting at home, you can have piece of mind that a GP is available to talk to directly from your phone. We can provide prescriptions to any pharmacy near you. See a clinician now by downloading the tap GP app.
Wave goodbye to waiting rooms or having to wait days for an appointment with your doctor. GP and clinician appointments are available from 8am to 10pm seven days a week. Appointments are 10 minutes but can be extended if needed.
Keeping your records safe is our top priority. We hold your records in a secure AWS database with a high level of encryption. Your records are only accessible by tapGP staff who have received training in data protection.
Your time is important to us. We aim to see patients within 15 minutes of their appointment time. On very rare occasions there may be a longer wait.
Absolutely! Most of our GP appointments are available on the same day and usually within a few hours. You can also book a GP appointment up to two weeks in advance.
Your prescription will be sent electronically to nearly any pharmacy you choose in the England and Wales. Alternatively the tapGP team can help you find a pharmacy near you.
Our GPs and clinicians treat nearly all conditions that you would see your NHS GP for, click here for more information. Our experienced GPs and clinicians can prescribe medication, provide you with a referral letter to a specialist or a sick note.
Please note, we do not see patients with medical emergencies and would advise you to call 999 or go to your nearest A&E.
Absolutely! We can send referral letters directly to your email after your consultation with a GP or clinician.
All of our GPs and clinicians have trained in the NHS for a minimum of 5 years and have also worked for over 5 years in an NHS trust. They undergo regular remote consultation training and assessment. Our clinicians are registered with the main UK governing bodies: GMC, NMC or HCPC. Our GPs are members of RCGP. tapGP is also registered with the CQC; an organisation that regulates all healthcare services in England.
We believe quality private healthcare should be more affordable. Our team of GPs, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists work together to keep your costs as low as possible.
Our services are currently only available to residents in England and Wales. If you require medical help abroad please contact the local health services.
Absolutely! Any child under 16 years will need to be registered under a separate account using the tapGP app. A parent or guardian must be present throughout their consultation. Children 16 years and over will need to create their own account before making an appointment.
We advise that you consent to allowing us to share your tapGP medical records with your own GP. This is to ensure you receive better and safer care and will mean we can prescribe a broader range of medications
Absolutely not, tapGP does not require you to de-register with your GP and will not affect you when making future appointments with your own GP.
You can arrange a private blood test by booking an appointment and discussing your requirements with one of our GPs. Your GP will arrange the appropriate blood tests and explain how you can book the test.
