I really needed to see a GP and was tired of waiting to see my own. Managed to get an online consultation in less than an hour. Would highly recommend tapGP!

Overall a decent service, although the Android app kept crashing so I had to receive a phone call (which went fine). The prescription was emailed to me within 5 minutes of the call ending. I would use the service again.

My Doctor was 5 minutes late due to a previous appointment with another patient which is understandable. However, based on the information I provided with my condition he thoroughly analysed gave me suggestions and professional advice. The appointments are 10 minutes but even though our time went a bit over, he didn't rush and explained everything clearly. If you need advice or help but cant get an appointment with your GP, I would say its worth the price (Appointments are £39).

After 3 years of back and forth with a GP surgery I can never get an appointment with, I booked an appointment with tapGP for a mere couple of hours after I'd registered with the service on what seems to be a very efficient app. I was assigned Dr Neil Hathi who arrived on the video call exactly at the appointment time. Dr Hathi had reviewed my inputted notes and photos prior to the appointment and set to addressing my issues immediately. I am a super anxious person and was really nervous after many years of appointments where my anxieties only grew. But, Dr Hathi was friendly, and conscientious and seemed genuinely concerned for my health. So concerned in fact, that he stayed on the appointment with me for double my alloted time and offered to write to my local GP with some serious concerns and suggestions about what they should be doing for me for a chronic issue I have been battling with little useful support from them with for over 3 years now. He also suggested lots of things that, to be honest, I have already tried in my holistic mission to improve my health issues (which proves that this service is not just box ticking and trying to move onto the next patient ASAP) but were highly constructive suggestions in the bigger picture of specific kind of medical issues where medicine is often not the only answer. And finally, he was realistic with an immediate short-term action of a prescription which we both knew would probably only be a respite option, but as he's writing to my GP with suggested further suggestions, helps me in the next step to getting more tangible answers and hopefully eventually a cure! I couldn't have asked for a more caring and genuinely concerned doctor, thank you so much Dr Hathi.

Quick sign up and got same day appointment. We are exhausted new parents and very much occupied with a newborn; worrying about my elderly mother ( strongheaded lady who told me everything is okay until it’s not). She is visiting from overseas and unfortunately experiences pretty bad gout flare up. She got a prescription from her doctor back home but we couldnt buy the medication from any pharmacies here in the UK. They suggested online consultation with a doctor and we are glad and very much relieved we did. Straightforward procedure to book and attend an appointment from home. Dr. Neil is very proffesional. Thank you for your help.

Easy to get an appointment at a time that suits you, the doctor I spoke to was excellent, he listened, asked lots of questions and actually helped me, rather than sitting in a queue on the phone for an hour, to wait for a call back god knows when, only to be told no one can see you. Definitely use again.

I needed urgent advice and medication out of hours. The administrative staff were very professional and efficient. I had an appointment booked almost immediately and the doctor was incredibly helpful both in his advice and in ensuring that I could obtain the required medication. Fantastically good value. I very highly recommend them.

Absolutely brilliant! I couldn’t get an appointment for another month at my GP. I got one the same day here and got my prescription. Very professional and friendly and took the time to answer my questions with care.

Just really excellent. Couldnt get urgent GP appointment at my own surgery, got appointment slot within an hour, Dr extremely pleasant, very thorough and went the extra mile, calling the hospital for me to make a plan of care and provide options, called me back promptly. Really considered me as an individual, i am so impressed.

Absolutely amazing I had an appointment at 21:50 which is so convenient you would never get that at a normal gp surgery.not only that but I was taken seriously and helped straight away after months of struggling with my gp and being constantly dismissed. I stumbled across tapGP looking for alternatives to my GP surgery and I'm so glad I did.I will definitely be using this in future.

I felt the need to write a review as I was so impressed with the service! I Booked at 8pm on a Friday evening for a Saturday afternoon online appointment. It all felt to good to be true when booking as seemed to easy and I kept thinking will it be any good! I was so pleased it was for my 3.5 year old son! The GP was so detailed and asked so many questions and spoke to my son. Would highly recommend where possible as so much less hassle for the sake of £29!

I was cynical about this company, especially when they asked for personal details during the sign up process. But I took what felt like a gamble and continued with the process anyway because we had struggled to get an appointment with our local doctor and because it was a weekend. We managed to get an appointment on the same day we signed up, the doctor was really knowledgeable and helpful, prescribed my son antibiotics for an ear infection, and now my son is recovering. FYI - I don't receive any payment from the company for saying that I had a really positive experience.

Got an appointment within two hours, doctor connected right on time. Listened to everything, issued a prescription- would definitely recommend after two weeks of not getting an appointment at my own surgery.

The cost of the appointment includes prescription-writing. However, the cost of the medication prescribed will vary depending on the pharmacy. The pharmacy may also charge a private dispensing fee. NHS exemptions for prescriptions do not apply.

Yes, our GPs can issue a fit (sick) note if they think you need one. Please request a sick note during your consultation with the GP. Your fit note will be sent to your email address soon after your appointment. You can then forward your fit note to your employer or school. tapGP fit notes cannot be used for social security or statutory pay purposes.
